We're excited to announce the launch of the IMSH 2019 website! It's our third year partnering with Gavilan & Associates and Graphek Design Studio to build a stunning website for the annual International Meeting on Simulation in Healthcare (IMSH).
The new website utilizes the Drupal content management system and allows users to sort through hundreds of sessions with ease, making users feel like they've transported to the 3-day event. In addition to the functionality showcased in the websites we built for IMSH conferences in the prior years, IMSH 2019 required particularly extensive development work to support the homepage design and the heavily stylized, slanted logo created by our partner Graphek.
For IMSH 2017 & 2018, the design of the websites were very video-centric, giving user the sensation that they were physically participating in the actual conference. For IMSH 2019, we continued our use of video streaming to retain that hands on, interactive nature of the conference.
Traditionally, IMSH conferences have featured interactive presentations, courses, and activities such as using healthcare dummies and makeup artists for healthcare simulation. One major theme of IMSH 2019 is virtual realty and how healthcare technology is changing for the better.
Without a doubt, we couldn't have delivered such a beautiful site without the efforts of Gavilan & Associates and Graphek. While G&A handled all strategic communications planning for our client to ensure that they were reaching their target audience, Graphek defined the color palate and defined the vibrant design. Finally, the IMSH 2019 project had a short timeline and limited budget, but we quickly delivered a stunning, technically robust website that went above and beyond expectation.
About IMSH
The International Meeting on Simulation in Healthcare (IMSH) is a multi-day, scientific conference that explores the latest innovations and best practices in healthcare simulation. The conference provides vital resources and tools to healthcare professionals in order to advance their professional skillsets; implement change in medical practices and delivery systems; and, ultimately, to improve patient safety.
IMSH is hosted by the Society for Simulation in Healthcare (SSH) and is the organization's largest annual conference. Through the use of simulation, SSH aims to decrease errors and advance performance in patient care. SHH was established in 2004 by professionals using simulation for testing, research, and education in healthcare. Members of the organization include physicians, nurses, allied health and paramedical personnel, developers, educators, and researchers from around the world. SSH fosters the improvement and application of simulation–based modalities, including virtual reality, human patient simulators, standardized patients and task trainers.
